Customer Segmentation Scoring Calculator for RFM and Predicted LTV

How to Calculate RFM and LTV with the Customer Segmentation Scoring Calculator

Score customers with RFM and predicted lifetime value to identify VIP, loyal, new, at-risk, and churn-prone segments for targeted retention campaigns.

    Formula

Segment, LTV, and churn scores combine explicitly weighted customer inputs

    How to use the result

Use scores to rank outreach, then validate predicted value and churn against observed outcomes.

Scores are rule-based estimates unless trained and validated on your customer history. Inputs and calculations stay in this browser.

How to use the Customer Segmentation Scoring Calculator

Use this calculator to turn basic customer behavior into actionable segments. It combines RFM scoring, predicted lifetime value, value-tier classification, and churn risk so you can decide who to retain, who to upsell, and who to re-engage.

    RFM Scoring

    1. Enter Days Since Last Purchase, Total Purchases, and Total Spend (or an equivalent monetary value).
    2. Select Analyze RFM to generate an RFM code and segment label.
    3. Use the segment recommendation to tailor outreach (VIP perks, replenishment, win-back).

    Predicted LTV

    1. Enter your customer’s purchase economics such as AOV, Purchase Frequency, and Margin (if available).
    2. Select Calculate LTV to estimate lifetime revenue and lifetime profit.
    3. Compare the result to acquisition cost to decide whether the segment can support higher bids.

    Value Segment

    1. Enter total revenue, orders, account age, and recency-style inputs to compute a value score.
    2. Select Analyze Segment to classify customers into tiers (e.g., VIP, High Value, Medium Value).
    3. Use the recommendation to pick the next best action (upsell, loyalty offer, nurturing).

    Churn Risk

    1. Enter Days Since Last Purchase and Avg Days Between Purchases to capture how “late” a customer is.
    2. Add Total Lifetime Purchases and an Engagement Score to refine the prediction.
    3. Select Assess Churn Risk and use the recommended action to trigger a retention campaign.

    Segmentation tips

    • Use the same timeframe across all inputs (e.g., last 90 days) to keep scores comparable.
    • Validate segments with outcomes: repeat rate, refund rate, and email/SMS engagement.
    • Keep segments decision-oriented; every segment should map to a playbook.
